Google & 9/11 Museum: The Call to Serve Exhibit In the days after 9/11, US special forces deployed into danger in Afghanistan so quickly they had to borrow horses. That’s why they were called ‘The Horse Soldiers.’ Google Maps teamed up with the 9/11 Museum during Veterans Week for an exhibit that let nine veterans tell their stories, share photos, and mark each moment on the map.
Role: Concept, copy, production

The Event Poster "The Horse Soldier" statue at the museum represents the Special Forces who were on the ground in Afghanistan before their equipment arrived, infiltrating Taliban on horses borrowed from local tribesmen. Our exhibit featured one of those soldier's stories.
